Description

A unisex sun frame with a rounded design. Thick profile, matte finish, gentle curve at the brow line. The Model 002 completes CYEL's first collection with a classic silhouette, made for all faces.

Opaque and solid finish. The frame is injected in France from recycled PET plastic, part of which comes from bottles collected in the Calanques of Marseille.

The CYEL approach

CYEL manufactures sunglasses from plastic bottles collected in the Calanques of Marseille, in partnership with the Clean My Calanques association. More than 30 kg of PET waste are collected each month, sorted, crushed, and then transformed into pellets. Each frame is then injected from a mixture composed of 10% of this plastic from the Calanques and 90% of recycled plastic from French factories.

Italian DIVEL lenses

The lenses are manufactured in Italy by DIVEL, chosen for the consistency of their optical protection. Depending on the model, they offer category 2 or category 3 sun protection, meaning a glare reduction of 60% to 85%. 100% UV400 filter.

Commitment

1% of CYEL's revenue is donated to Clean My Calanques. Each pair produced avoids the use of 20 L of water and 1.5 kg of CO₂ compared to a frame made from virgin plastic.
